Nigeria defeat Argentina to qualify for quarter-final at FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup (Photos).

Nigeria’s women basketball team, D’Tigress, have qualified for the quarter-final of the ongoing FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup in Spain after they defeated Argentina in their last group game on Tuesday.

D’Tigeress team who had promised that they would avenge the defeat suffered by the Super Eagles at the last FIFA World Cup against Argentina, defeated the South Americans  75-70 to book their place among the last eight teams.

The win comes just two days after the Nigerian team claimed their first-ever win against Turkey at the 2018 FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup on Sunday night.
