THE UNIVERSITY LIFE: A MINI WORLD.

 

           The University is a city where citizenship is gained by admission and footling by graduation. This city confines citizens in a stipulated time depending on the course and shuts the walls of the mini world from the main world. Every being birthed into this universe rightly deserves education; an exposure and enlightenment of life and its facet. The earth at large consists of various personalities, characteristics, and breeds of humans which converges various tribes, religion, status, and beliefs. Life is in stages and each stage is taken by a step which leads to the other; opening one’s eyes, mind, and IQ as one moves along. The University is an educational institution where students study for a degree and where academic research is done. The coming together of various kinds of people to learn in the University environment can be seen as a mini world.

           Life is a journey and everyone is a traveler, journeying along through a path where one only hopes for the best. The University has helped in bringing different people together irrespective of whoever one is - tradition and background, there is a connection in getting to know one another in various ways, so also is the world at large; we meet people consciously or otherwise and make them friends or acquaintances, while some relationship or friendship last long, others don’t. The University environment is life in itself and an open place that gives students the choice to do certain things. Every student is at liberty to live however they choose to, by either acknowledging the studentship power invested in them or toying with the limited studentship power.

           The University life is a free world where everyone does footing of bill and partial parenting to themselves. It makes one independent and able to do certain things and make decisions without constantly consulting one’s parents. Finance makes it hard and the stress is overwhelming especially during exams. Having a relationship with someone who has a similar interest with you would help you academically, spiritually, and in other areas, but it starts with understanding one’s self. An introverted person who keeps to himself and doesn’t open up to others for assistance might end up hurting and regretting such sour and solitary life. One’s contribution to the mini world determines one’s achievement and the utilization of one’s freedom determines one’s failure or success.

            Furthermore, the mini world trains and prepare every student for the larger world; the impartation of certain value and morals to overcome certain crisis helps in sharpening and straightening some crooked part and animates some dead things in the student. The impact of the University life is something that will forever remain in the memory of every student, whether good or bad; the memories stick. The mini-universe which is not distanced from the everyday realities of life outside the University is a bit safer and secure. The ability to organize, plan and manage one’s time and resources give one the knowledge of multitasking and setting a workable timetable, which should be implemented and achieved.

           The University is indeed a mini world, just as the world is a compendium of different fields and walks of life. It hosts various sectors and lots of activities are carried out in the University environment which makes it a world on its own and of its own. If one can overcome certain adversity in the mini world, one can also overcome other adversities in the world at large.
